This is a hidden treasure for the discerning couples who don’t fit into the standard wedding category.
(You won’t find us at wedding fairs!)
The Lodge Accommodation
The main lodge can sleep up to 10 guests in 4 large and sumptuous bedrooms.
You can hire the lodge for up to three nights over a weekend or two nights midweek. The fireplace in both our cosy sitting room and spectacular dining room will be filled stocked throughout your stay. The dining room has a wonderful atmosphere and can seat 18 guests.
Garden Bell Tents
Our 3 fully furnished bell tents accommodate an extra 6 guests. Each bell tent is set on its own deck and has a zip and link bed which can either be a super king or twin formation.
We are happy for your guests to book and pay for the bell tents directly, so it doesn't have to be a charge that you have to cover. Bell tents are available from 1st April through to 1st October only.
Should you wish to have more guests on-site, we can set up an entire bell tent village for them, with each tent available to hire directly through our website, taking all the hassle away from you!
Bell Tent Village
Bespoke bell tent villages can be set up for up to an additional 100 guests. Guests are given a link to the bell tent village so they can choose what type of tent and furnishings they would like to book.
The Long Barn
Licensed for wedding ceremonies the barn is a magical, rustic and intimate space that can be used throughout your stay. From intimate family meals, your wedding ceremony or as a dance floor. We have had couples use it as a games barn throughout the weekend, a specialist bar area, a chill-out space or as somewhere to put the hot tubs!
The capacity:
- 90 guests seated in rows for a wedding ceremony
- 50 guests for sit down meals
- 100 guests standing as a bar or dance area
The Wilde Safari Tent
And for even more entertaining space, opposite the Long barn is our bespoke safari tent.
Nestled within the barn walls is our huge Safari tent, offering a blank canvas allowing you to make your special day your own.
- With space for 120 guests for sit down meals and 150 guests standing as a bar or dance area.
- A spectacular 16ft solid oak bar
The Open Barn
We have a chillout area at the back of the lodge, with breathtaking views out to the fields and forests beyond
Covered in hay bales with pallet tables this can be a magical place to catch the last of the afternoon sun and take afternoon tea (especially as our signature celebration cake is complimentary when you hire the lodge).
Ther is a solid concrete ping pong table and troughs throughout for ice & drinks.
The grounds, river & the surroundings
We have 15 acres of gardens and grounds, including a walled garden with lawn - great for drinks or relaxing to watch the world roll by. The main field has plenty of space for our insanely good games from frisbee golf, golf basket, tug of war, skittles, croquet, Viking Chess and boules.
The lodge is perched above the river teme and is fabulous for an early morning dip and behind us lies several trails and leads up to the Offas Dyke footpath - it is great for walking, cycling or running ... or just heading off to the local pub.
Catering
For large celebrational meals, we use CSONS catering team who have an outdoor kitchen next to the safari tent, which means that guests can chat to the chefs and see right into the kitchen. Their food is exceptional and this is a great option for a very special celebratory meal and one very in keeping with the backdrop of our breathtaking scenery. Prices include crockery, tables, chairs and linens.
