Staying At Wilde Lodge

 

Wilde Lodge can be hired for your exclusive use as a self catered holiday let, whether you are looking for somewhere to rent for a self-catered family holiday, a hen celebration, a golden anniversary or maybe a special birthday.

All bookings are made direct to the owner and priced according the number of nights and guests staying on site. When you hire the lodge you will have exclusive use of the entire site. This is a fabulous and versatile house that can be rented for you to just enjoy by yourselves, or invite other guests to join you for a sleep over, the day, a dinner, or a swim.

Exclusive hire on a self catered basis includes the following;

  • The main lodge that sleeps 10 guests over 4 large family bedrooms (2 with ensuite bathrooms and 2 with a shared bathroom)

  • From 1st April to 30th September the house also comes with 3 fully furnished garden bell tents, each bell tent has luxurious beds, carpets, hot water bottles and electricity and can sleep 2 per tent. So a total of 6 additional guests. Guests in the bell tents use the facilities in the main lodge.

  • You are more than welcome to invite additional guests to camp in the surrounding fields or to join you as day guests. Additional guests are charged in addition to the hire of the holiday let.

  • Private access to the entire grounds surrounding the lodge including the long barn (see more details below) and the open barn (see below)

  • You also have riverside access just below the house which is fabulous for swimming in.

    Please note the safari tent is an additional cost when hiring the holiday let. Please enquire on booking if you wish to the hire the tent for all or part of your stay.

    In addition to the accommodation in the main lodge there are plenty of options for inviting additional day or evening guests throughout your stay just ask on booking.

 
 

The Lodge and it’s surroundings

 

The Long Barn

This is a magical, rustic and intimate space that can be used throughout your stay and is included in the hire price when renting the lodge as a self catered holiday let. Covered in fairy lights its the perfect place for al fresco meals or as a dance floor, a bar area, a chill-out space or as somewhere to put the hot tubs in! The barn comes with tables, chairs, carpets, dart board, bluetooth speaker, sofas and chairs.

The capacity:

- 50 guests for sit down meals

- 100 guests standing as a bar or dance area

 

The Open Barn

We have a chillout area at the back of the lodge, with breathtaking views out to the fields and forests beyond

Covered in hay bales with pallet tables this can be a magical place to catch the last of the afternoon sun and take afternoon tea.

There is a solid concrete ping pong table and troughs throughout for ice & drinks.

 

The grounds, river & the surroundings

We have 15 acres of gardens and grounds, including a walled garden with lawn - great for drinks or relaxing to watch the world roll by. The main field has plenty of space for our insanely good games from frisbee golf, golf basket, tug of war, skittles, croquet, Viking Chess and boules.

The lodge is perched above the river teme and is fabulous for an early morning dip and behind us lies several trails and leads up to the Offas Dyke footpath - it is great for walking, cycling or running ... or just heading off to the local pub.

 

Catering

You can of course self cater at the lodge. There is a large BBQ and lots of fire pits you can use. But if you are looking for some catered meals, we have an in house catering team who have an outdoor kitchen next to the safari tent. Their food is exceptional and there are so many options to choose from. There are mezze and sharing boards that can be delivered ready for you to serve, or fully catered sit down meals. The Wilde Safari Tent

And for even more entertaining space, opposite the Long barn is our bespoke safari tent. This is an additional cost to hire and as well as having a bar, toilets and heating it is the most magical space nestled between the old barn walls.

- With space for 120 guests for sit down meals and 150 guests standing as a bar or dance area.

- A spectacular 16ft solid oak bar

 

Bar & Corkage
