Emma, Charlie and Eli’s family gathering
Saturday 13 th June 2026
Hello to our wonderful friends and family.
Welcome to our celebration at Wilde Lodge where we are excited to bring together our nearest and dearest to help us celebrate becoming a family. Although the day will look much like your typical wedding, we are now legally married (woohoo) and hope therefore that the focus can be on becoming a family of three and officially welcoming Eli into our hearts and home.
We’ve included some general information below and quick links to further information about the beautiful site where we will host the party, including directions, and where to stay locally.

Cake
Thank you so much to everyone who has kindly offered to bring a cake or bake. When you arrive a trusty helper will collect the bake from you and put it in the fridge or just out of the way of scavengers. Can we ask that you prepare a small card with the name of the cake (Millionaires shortbread rather than Barry) and whether it is gluten free, dairy free, vegan and so on. We will display the cards next to your bake. There’s still time to join the bake off if you want to – just let one of us know!
Transport
We have arranged a local taxi company who will be doing a few trips throughout the evening to accommodate everyone. We have a list of folks who have asked for this but please let us know if you would like to be added or no longer need this service so we have a clear idea of numbers.
Dress code
The party will be semi-formal attire, but please wear whatever you’re comfortable in. We wouldn’t recommend stiletto heels as a lot of the ground is gravel and grass. Additionally, we would suggest layers to warm up in the evening as much of the venue is outdoors.
Children and dogs
This is very much a family gathering and we would love for your children to join us. If you have any toys that you’d like to bring to help us keep little ones entertained, we would be really grateful. Just be mindful that other children are likely to use them also. If you need help working out how you will nap little ones, reach out and we’ll come up with a plan. Although a very difficult decision, for peace of mind we have agreed not to have dogs on site on the day of the party. Lots of our friends and family have dogs but we can’t possibly know how they will get on with each other and with children in such a busy environment. We are really sorry if this causes any difficulties for you but hope you’ll understand our reasons for this.
Gifts
Your presence is the greatest gift to us, however if you would like to give a gift, we’d be extremely grateful for a contribution towards our next family adventure.
Please be aware that on the day, alcohol can only be bought/consumed from the hired bar onsite.
From Air BnB to Country House Hotels, here is a selection of comfortable local accommodation.
For guests who wish to extend their stay and explore the local area, we have compiled a list of some lovely local campsites below.
